“Marylanders to Prevent Gun Violence is doing critical work to bring the voices of those most directly affected by gun violence into the national dialogue. There are so many policy changes we can make to save lives, but we have to start by listening to people in communities who live with this scourge every day,” said U.S. Senator Chris Murphy.
“Too many mothers and fathers in Baltimore have buried children; we need to work together to end the cycle of violence. I’m grateful to MPGV for helping to introduce me to many of the men and women who have been impacted by gun violence in Baltimore and are working to bring change to their community. I am awed and inspired by their bravery and fortitude in the midst of their grief.”
