Bonnie Schofield

Director of Programs

Bonnie Schofield’s route to gun violence prevention has not been a direct path, but from it she brings a wide range of experiences to inform her work. Bonnie grew up on a small farm in rural Ohio and went on to become a professional ballet dancer, performing in New York City, at the Kennedy Center and around the US and abroad for two decades. She also lived in Southeast Asia for four years where she continued to dance, travel and began work in social causes. Upon her return to the US, the shocking level of gun violence here led her to become active in this field. After several years of volunteering for MPGV on various fronts, she has recently assumed the role of Director of Programs. Bonnie is proud to join the important work of the Liberty Elementary Grief Support Group.
