Grief Support Director

Greta is trained in victim advocacy, grief support, and has a Doctor of Philosophy in Theology from the Pillar Bible College. Previously a Correctional Officer Supervisor, Greta is an ordained elder at the Pillar Worship Center in Southwest Baltimore, where she is also the Director of the Family Kitchen (Pantry) and Outreach Program. In 2006 Greta’s unarmed 14-year-old son was shot and killed in her home in an appalling incident of police gun violence. Channeling her grief into action to help others, she co-founded the Kevin L. Cooper Foundation to support area youth. Greta has spoken at the NAACP National Conference and Loyola College for Social Equality, and been featured in the documentary Protect, Serve and Care.
